Websites & e-commerce

Fast, modern websites built on whatever technology you prefer. Next.js and a headless Sanity CMS. Shopify. WordPress. SvelteKit. No templates, no boilerplate — just clean, search-optimised code and a beautiful design.

I've built over 200 websites since 2008 — on WordPress, Shopify, Gatsby and Next.js. The right choice depends on the project. A simple brochure site doesn't always need to use modern JavaScript frameworks or CMS approaches your team aren’t familiar with — a bespoke WordPress CMS is still an excellent choice.

But for more complex projects, a headless build on Next.js with a CMS like Sanity gives you instant page transitions, server-side rendering and a frontend that's completely decoupled from the CMS — no database to secure, no plugins to patch, no attack surface.

Most of the websites in my portfolio were built in collaboration with designers — I bring their designs to life exactly as intended, pixel-perfect and fully responsive. But I'm equally comfortable working directly with you if you know what you want.

How it works

You’ll get a bespoke website built on modern infrastructure. That means it's fast (sub-second page loads), accessible (WCAG compliant), search-optimised and built with clean, documented code that any developer could maintain.

If you have a designer, I’ll work directly with them. If you don’t, I can bring one on board. All the designers I work with I have known for more than 10 years - they are true talents with extremely diverse portfolios.

You get a content management system so you can update text, images, videos, menus and pages yourself. I’m not in the business of manufacturing ways to get more work out of you once your site is built.

I’ll recommend hosting and any third party integrations you may need and assist with setup. I’ll also handle security, domains, analytics and the creation of a development site, plus the final go-live process.

Simple brochure websites can take as little as 2-4 weeks from kickoff to launch.

Pricing

A very small, custom-designed brochure website can cost as little as £1,500 (+VAT) for development. Design costs, if required, would usually be about the same.

A medium-sized website might be in the region of £5,000 (+VAT). A site like this might have lots more unique page layouts or components, as well as custom forms, interactivity or visual effects.

A custom designed e-commerce or membership site might cost in the region of £8,000 - £15,000, depending on requirements.
